Upon entering, the hotel’s visitors are embraced by the history of the region from photos of the STV ‘One and All’ and other historical vessels, models of ships, ‘Jylland’ and ‘Loch Ard’, and the original solid brass propeller from the AK ‘Failie’.
A copper and brass Mash Tun is also adjacent to the entry area. The Tall Ships area has historical memorabilia from, for example, the RMS Titanic scattered around the room to create an atmosphere, which is beautifully complemented by the warming colour scheme. Customers can relax in a friendly environment, while enjoying a quality meal from the menu and literally watching the beer making process in action.
The Boardroom
The Boardroom is a private function room for 12 patrons that contains a solid walnut antique table and red mahogany chairs dated to 1790 and a marvellous selection of maritime memorabilia from ships that sailed in South Australian waters.
The Quarterdeck
The Quarterdeck is a private function room for up to 100 patrons. This area has bi-fold doors to reduce the size of the room for smaller parties and also has a private bar.
The Brew Bar
The Brew Bar is an intimate, relaxed bar, where bands play each Sunday and you can find a cosy place to sit by the fire and relax or chat with friends at the Bar. Information brochures are on display to promote the hotel and other regional tourist attractions.
The Brewery
We pride ourselves in having the most successful micro-brewery in South Australia. We brew six different styles of beer on the premises, most of which have won International Brewing Medals. Tours of the Brewery and Cellars are available all days of the week by arrangement. We have recently installed a new Brewery and invite you to tour South Australia’s only Copper and Brass decoction Brewhouse.
